Location Praia da Rocha Baixinha Nascente - Vilamoura

This is the main acess to Praia da Rocha Baixinha (blue on the photo - zona 1) and it is the closest to the parking lot. From here you will have access to the beach through a boardwalk and the use of all the existing beach facilities.

Near the beach access there is a paid parking lot but it is free for handicapped and disabled users since you have the IMT distich. This distich can be asked for on the parking centre or on the beach reception. There are 2 free spaces for handicapped and disabled users on the other side of the river (Albufeira municipality) but  its use is unadvised due to the bad conditions of the road (dirt road).

Along the path between the handicapped or disabled users' parking places and the beach there are some obstacles, which can only be overcome with other people's help.
The pavement is made of tarmac by the parking lot, changing into cobblestone on the sidewalk. In this transition there is an obstacle, due to the fact that the existing ramp has a high slope rate.
To acceed the beach you will have to cross a bridge over the Quarteira brook (the borderline between the Albufeira and the Loulé municipalities). This bridge has a high slope rate for wheelchair use, so help will be once again needed. The remaining  path is made of tarmac and boardwalk floor, granting access to the beach and all the existing facilities without further obstacles. Unfortunately, from the beach tents reserved for the handicapped and disabled users to the place where the beach wheelchair is located (lifeguard post) there is no boardwalk, so help will be needed to request the service.

On the existing beach facilities there are public toilets adapted for the use of handicapped or disabled users.
These are spatious facilities equipped with all the aids needed for its proper use.

Beach Chair

There is one beach wheelchair available for the handicapped and disabled users. Its use must be requested at the lifeguard post; unfortunately there is no boardwalk to get there, so help will be needed to do so.
The free beach tents reserved for the handicapped and disabled users are located next to the place where the beach wheelchair is, aswell as the lifeguard post.
